so. now that the babe is almost 3 months old, i figured it's high time to actually hang the stuff on her walls and print pictures for the frames. so her room is about 99.9% done. one more thing to hang. and i actually made really cute chalkboard labels for some stuff that are still downstairs in the scrap area. they'll make it up here eventually.... thought id share some photos of the details:
when you walk in the room, behind the door, theres a huge shelf with lots of storage on it. it's not very pretty, but it's hidden behind the door. lol. then there's the rocker and next to the rocker, her bookshelf. it's actually three shelves, but you can only see two in this pic. the shelf is full of books already. Madelyn's favorite books are On the Night You Were Born, Mama's Right Here, The Seven Sily Eaters, and The Monster at the End of This Book. We spend a lot of time in her glider nursing, reading, and cuddling.
Madelyn got this beautiful chair from her Aunt Judy for my baby shower.
We finally got it personalized a few weeks ago....
On the shelf:
Princess Baby from Amy
Elephant stuffed animal that I bought from her in Boston
Handmade crosstitch from my best friend, Erica
Butterfly hangers from a garage sale
Madelyn's handprint and footprint at a month old in frames from a Target kit
print from Kal Bareski "You are destined for greatness"
Madelyn's toys that hang above her on the changing table
Frame from garage sale
Other odds and ends
(and there used to be the prettiest ballerina on this shelf handed down
from my grandmother but it was broken a few days ago by my brother
trying to kill a spider for us. SAD.)
the princess on her changing table while momma took pictures.
madelyn's dresser with all her pj's and bath stuff. cute pully stuffed animals from the thrift store. cute frame from the thrift store. pretty butterfly on the front.

I love the room. It looks so comfy and warm. M is a very lucky princess. I am so happy to see how happy you are. Motherhood fits you so well and it is very apparent that you are doing a great job.
Loves,
Shaun
