i will be bringing 4 bags to the hospital. my bag. the babe's backpack. a laptop bag. and a camera bag. a bit too much? possibly. but i like to be prepared. they look very cute sitting all together as they're all matching vera bradley bags (except the camera bag). tomorrow marks 4 weeks until the big day. 4 weeks is SO far away and i am crossing my fingers that the babe decides that she wants to meet this world a little sooner because i am worn. down. period.
it has been crazy since the last time i posted. last weekend, i did a lot of preparing/helping my mom with the baby shower. and then the truly amazing and fabulous melissa came into town with her fabulous husband. so last saturday, we all hung out and i took melissa and bob into town and we drooled over the clothes in janie and jack and the other upscale baby stores in town. and we picked out beautiful flowers for the baby shower because i love flowers. i am definitely a flower person. we got really stunning gerbera daises and pink tulips from trader joes.
also went out with bob and melissa for some fabulous pizza because as i explained to them, you haven't had real pizza unless you've had it from ny/nj (side note: when i lived in pa for a year for school, i could not eat pizza because it was AWFUL. there's really nothing like our pizza. do i sound like a snob?? lol). they liked it, i think. i never got to ask them if they got the chance to have a bagel here. this is where the bagels are at. for sure.
sunday was the shower. melissa was kind enough to come early to help me decorate and get ready. i wore the cutest pink polka dot dress that i've had for months from the gap, which i got on the best clearance ever.
we decorated with flowers and ultrasound pictures and it all looked so pretty and then the people started coming and holy cow. it was overwhelming. first off, i was exhausted because i had woken up at 4:30 that morning because i have terrible anxiety. and there were SO many people. i wish that i had photos of all the people. because really, it was crazy. unfortunately, i dont have all too many photos from the shower because i didnt take any and melissa was so busy helping me out. it was SO good to see so many amazing people. really, i am so incredibly lucky to have so many people who already love my little girl so much. i got to see so many of my friends that i haven't seen in so long because i've basically become a hermit since i'm so tired all the time.
the babe got INCREDIBLY spoiled. i was SHOCKED at how much she got and how freaking perfect everything was
some of my most favorite gifts:

my mom got her the most beautiful outfits from janie and jack. this is just one of them. it has matching tights and a matching headband. SO CUTE.

my sister got her her first jewelry -- a beautiful bracelet and the tiniest little ring. i just realized i should have taken better photos of them. i will someday.

beautiful rocking chair from my aunt judy. it has to be brought back to the store to be personalized with her name after she's born :)
seriously. this speaks for itself. how freaking cute is this?!but it's even better when you add these to it:
her very first heels. my girl is for sure gonna be fashionable ;)
there are SO many other things i loved and could seriously do a whole post of them, but some things you'll just have to wait to see until they're in pics when my girl is born (and just wait til you see all the things melissa made for the babe! holy cow.)
it's been crazy since then. had to go up to the hospital the other day with some pains. my nephew's been sick. other things have been crazy and have some news unrelated to the babe that i'm waiting on. so all in all, i've been crazy busy just trying to get ready for my daughter to come. went to babies r us and target this weekend to pick up some last minute things that i didn't get with one of the MANY gift cards that the baby got at the shower (yea, that was def a fave gift too! LOL!).
anyways, that's all from me for now. hope you're all doing well. keep your fingers crossed that this little girl comes sooner than later!
